It’s like Blues on the Green, but it’s Blues on the Pike! Come on out to the 16th Annual Columbia Pike Blues Festival!
When I was a kid, my mom used to drag out the quilt and a picnic basket along with my older sister and I to the “rock” in the center of the Zilker Park island to listen to Blues on the Green on Wednesdays. This was a free concert of amazing live Blues music put on by the City for tons of happy people who got to enjoy live music with a bunch of others just for the heck of it. It happened all Summer long and it was awesome. Having come from a hometown that is slated as the live music capital of the world, it is nice to know that I can once again feel right at home in South Arlington, my new hometown because we can serve up live music just like the best of them! We aren’t Antone’s Home of the Blues, but we can certainly try! The amazing Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization has once again brought together this FREE event sponsored by some fantastic groups bringing together a sense of community in South Arlington along the Columbia Pike Corridor. Columbia Pike has long since been a place rich with culture and history and is now being further enriched with great local businesses and entrepreneurs who have much faith in South Arlington real estate. Come on out to enjoy live music, games and family fun brought to you by those who live, love and play along the Columbia Pike Corridor the most! Listen to the likes of The Curbfeelers, Chris Polk, Anthony “SwampDog” Clark, Paul Mark and the Van Dorens, and headliner Tinsely Ellis.
When: June 18th 1pm-8pm
Where: South Walter Reed @ Columbia Pike
