Greenery
We touched on design trends coming into the new year, and one of the trends will always be the new color. Of course, the “greige” concept of warm, welcoming neutrals reigns supreme across all markets, but there is something that surprised the masses, and that was the addition of the greenery color this year.
The Pantone color of the year for 2017 is called Greenery, and it is a combination of emerald and grass green. It may be Pantone’s answer to bringing the outdoors in. You can see this concept through mega-influencers in design such as Justina Blakeny and the Jungalow Design. Anywhere you can see hanging plants, succulents and lots of sunshine California lovin’ style sunrooms with ivy and night-blooming cirrus, there will be Greenery. There are also more and more people adding jungle themed wallpaper and the trend doesn’t end at the powder-room with the greenery color. It is extending into the dining and bedroom and across the home.
Are you adventurous enough to pull the outdoors into your home and add Pantone’s Greenery to your home this year? We’d love to see how! Get social and share your photos on our Facebook page!
