What are you seeing while you are out there in the real estate trenches in 2015?
I see quite a bit when I am out and about looking a new homes with my clients, and when helping people to decide whether or not they want to build and renovate. Working with multiple high-end builders, I also get the opportunity to see what everyone is gravitating towards in their design concepts. In the current market, we are seeing tons of black window sashes, reminiscent of the old warehouse windows and loft condos of the Chicago and New York Wooster/Mercer areas.
What some of the design trend write ups aren’t talking about is all of the white and gray interior kitchens that are being installed. Kitchens have a very clean, open feeling. From the splash to the counters and cabinets, the kitchen is becoming a graceful space with white, open space, ready to craft new culinary delights with plenty of room to spread out!
From the kitchen to the living room, be mindful of the open concept, while still allowing for separation. People are still opting for open concepts, and to give the feeling of privacy for parties, the bulter’s pantry is all the craze in homes upward of $1mm.
Whistful, beachie vibes are also being delivered with the gray craze. No only is “greige” still the in color, but builders and designers are also turning to rustic and hand hewned wood to make the grey feel like it has more deplete and warmth.
