How do you know if your property is being off-set by age/ style of surrounding properties?
Your agent should be keeping tabs on trends, what is classic, what is selling and what is moving. What sells property: the old adage, (location, location, location, is one thing) but when it comes down to it, price, condition and access is what will sell a home. If the interior is not congruent with location and comparable properties, you will likely need to make some updates or a little refresh to get on par with comparables homes. A strong agent will navigate you through this.
In regards to new construction, and properties popping up all around you and being off-set by age and style, again, price, condition and access as well as supply/demand will be a huge indication of movement of a market.
