It seems that people often overlook the full magical effect of textiles and layering. I was cruising through instagram and came across Justina Blakney and Jenny Wolf Interiors great pallets and thought – well, this stuff just needs to be out there- all over the place! It isn’t just about fabric, and wood and metal and mixing of color, but the layers that make it all come together. I think Justina’s image says it loud and clear.
That is what makes a house a home, right? What makes your Northern Virginia house feel like home? Is it the sterile-white on white with stainless steel cold and icy, or is layered textiles that change the way you feel to make it your home? If you dig that aesthetic, that is awesome and to each their own, but I hazard a guess that you like layers somewhere…
