If you haven’t gone over to the new Fort Barnard Park, you are going to be in for a real treat! The County has done some great work by incorporating exactly the elements that the residents requested in their original charrette plans. As one of the original participants of the design charrette, I am impressed and delighted by the park, and hope that all of the community members and Arlingtonians for years to come will enjoy the park amenities. From the wonder of the bastion of the pristine Fort walls to the play ground pieces that incorporate all aspects of play for many age types. Escape the sun and rain in the bungalow and revel in the artful design of the full new playground. This is a wonderful new park and a beautiful new addition to South Arlington.
